I am motivated by tactile, and design elements which contribute to overall solid composition. I often will work in collage and mixed media depending upon the subjects needs. I have reached a maturity level in my painting that goes beyond the predictable images . I have explored for many years the “Carbon Lithography “ process combining that technique with various media and colors using Southwest landscapes and subjects. On many of my images you will see a fine spiderlike texture either over the entire piece or in certain areas of the painting. I will also work on a “black” canvas which enhances the richness of the acrylic on canvas or boards. I am also a professional photographer and teacher. My mission with photography is generally to capture the world of nature in landscape and macro images, as well as create unusual color and creations.
